1. Privacy First

Draw & Highlight on Webpage was built with a privacy-first mindset. We believe your data belongs to you, and we have no interest in tracking your browsing habits or collecting your personal information.

2. Data Storage

All annotations, drawings, and settings are stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. We do not use any external servers to store your work. If you uninstall the extension, your data will be removed unless you have manually exported it as a file.

3. Permissions

To function correctly, the extension requires the following permissions:

• activeTab: To inject the drawing canvas into the page you are currently viewing.
• storage: To save your annotations so they persist when you return to a page.
• sidePanel: To provide a persistent control interface for drawing tools.
• downloads: To allow you to export your drawings as PNG images or JSON files.

4. No Tracking

This extension does not include any analytics, tracking scripts, or telemetry. We do not know who you are, what websites you visit, or what you draw.

5. Changes

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and notify users through the extension's onboardings or update logs.
